Dental second opinion

Before you make a big decision — see the same case under the microscope

Heard "the tooth must come out"? Got a five-figure treatment plan? Doubting your current dentist? A second opinion with Zumax microscope examination costs 250 PLN and may change your entire treatment plan.

Consultation with written plan

250 PLN — deducted from first treatment

60–90 minutes with Dr Aleksandra Zborzyńska. Microscope examination. Written treatment plan with quote. No pressure to decide. If you continue treatment with us, the consultation cost is deducted from your first procedure.

When a second opinion is worth it

You heard "the tooth must be extracted"

Before a tooth is removed, it is always worth checking whether microscope-assisted root canal treatment can save it. Re-endo has a 70–85% success rate even in cases others call "impossible".

You received a 20 000+ PLN plan

Large plans deserve a calm second look. We will tell you what is essential, what can wait and what can be done less invasively.

You doubt the diagnosis

A microscope shows things invisible to the naked eye — sometimes a "cracked tooth" turns out to be a stained filling, and a "hopeless tooth" still has a chance.

You feel rushed

No good dentist pressures a decision on the spot. If you have that feeling, take time for a calm second opinion.

What you get

  • Zumax surgical microscope examination — magnification up to 37,5×, captured on photo
  • Written treatment plan with itemized quote — yours to keep, share, compare
  • Independent perspective — we do not contact your current dentist or pressure you to switch
  • 60–90 minutes of actual time — not a 15-minute hand-off

Frequently asked questions

Always consider a second opinion when: you heard "the tooth must be extracted" before any attempt at root canal treatment; you received a comprehensive plan for tens of thousands of PLN; your dentist cannot clearly explain why a given procedure is necessary; you feel the proposal was made in a rush. In dentistry there are often less invasive or cheaper alternatives that the first diagnosis may not consider.
Absolutely not. Professional dentists themselves recommend a second opinion for complex treatment plans — it's a medical standard. A good second opinion can also confirm your dentist's plan, giving you peace of mind before deciding.
The visit lasts 60–90 minutes. It includes: a detailed interview (your history, prior treatment, current symptoms); intra- and extra-oral examination under a Zumax surgical microscope; review of any documentation you bring (X-rays, prior treatment notes); a fresh small X-ray (RVG) if needed; discussion of every possible treatment path with pros and cons; a written plan with cost estimate. Zero pressure to decide on the spot.
The more documentation, the better. Most important: recent X-rays (RVG, panoramic, CBCT if any); written treatment plan from the previous dentist (if you have one); list of medications and allergies; list of questions you want to ask. If you have no documentation — that is fine. We will take a new RVG if needed (60 PLN).
The consultation with a treatment plan costs 250 PLN and includes the full 60–90 minute visit, microscope examination and written plan. An RVG if needed is an additional 60 PLN. If you decide to continue treatment with us, the cost of the consultation is deducted from your first procedure.
Yes. If you are mid-treatment (temporary dressing, temporary crown, halfway through a root canal), you can still come for a second opinion. We will assess the current state and advise whether to continue the existing plan or change the approach.
No. Often the previous dentist's plan is entirely correct — and we say so with a clear conscience. Sometimes we propose an alternative that may be cheaper, less invasive, or more conservative. The decision is always yours. Our goal is to give you the full picture, not to criticize colleagues.
Yes. Dr Aleksandra Zborzyńska conducts second-opinion consultations in English. The written plan you receive is bilingual on request — so you can share it with your dentist abroad or with family.
