Microscope-assisted root canal in Warsaw — how it works
A modern endodontic treatment performed under magnification. Why microscope visibility matters and what to expect during the visit.
If you are an expat living in Wilanów, Mokotów or anywhere in Warsaw, and you have been told you need a root canal — you have a choice. Either treatment "as usual" (without magnification), or treatment under a surgical microscope.
At Centrum Stomatologii Ursynów we perform every endodontic procedure under a Zumax surgical microscope at up to 37,5× magnification. The doctor leading your treatment is Dr Aleksandra Zborzyńska, who works personally with each patient — from first consultation to final filling — entirely in English on request.
What does the microscope change?
Without magnification, the dentist works with limited visibility — many canal entrances are tiny and difficult to assess with the naked eye. The microscope improves visibility of canal entrances, micro-cracks, old root filling material and anatomical details that standard optics may miss. It is not a promise of outcome; it is a clinical tool that makes diagnosis and treatment more precise, especially in molars and retreatment cases.
How long does the visit take?
A microscope root canal usually takes 60–120 minutes per visit. In many cases the treatment is completed in a single appointment; in more complex cases (curved or calcified canals) it is split into two visits, with a sterile dressing in between.
Is it painful?
No. We use modern computer-assisted local anesthesia (The Wand or equivalent). Most patients are surprised by how mild the procedure is compared to their expectations — especially compared with their experience at other clinics.
How much does it cost?
Single-canal teeth 900 PLN, two-canal 1 200 PLN, three- and four-canal teeth 1 500–1 700 PLN. A final crown or onlay (often required after endodontic treatment) is quoted separately based on material.
